幼い頃から、私は動物や植物そして鉱物達をこよなく愛してきました。きっとその出会いがあったからでしょう。気がつけば彼らとのふれあいの中で生まれた心を歌に編み、自然と歌うようになっていたのです。2004年夏、IUCN初の親善大使に任命されてから尚一層、歌を通じて地球上の全ての生き物達との架け橋になれたらよいなと心に強く思っています。
しかし、日本・アジア地域に於けるIUCNの存在は未だ認知されていない現実があります。国境を越えて今私たちがしなければならない事は何でしょう。それを見つけに一歩ずつ歩いていきましょう。
「私達は皆、この地球という大きな生きものに住む"細胞同士"なのですから。」 



“the BRIDGE between the worlds”

Since my childhood, I have had deep appreciation for animal, plants and stones. I found myself making& singing many song which were inspired by those intimate contact with nature. In the summer 2004, I had the honor to be the first Goodwill ambassador of IUCN. Through my song, I would like to be a bridge between man and all diverse of life in this planet.

However, I’m sorry to say that IUCN is not well-recognized in Japan and other countries in Asia. I am sure that we can step up, searching for what we should do for transboundary cooperation.

We, human and all living creatures are one of the cells of this great and beautiful Earth.

【特報】　6th INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS FOR CREATIVITY IN SUSTAINABILITY 第6回インターナショナル「グリーンアワード」にIRUKAがノミネートされました。

　　　　

 

8月中旬にIUCN本部より推薦したとの報告がありましたが、皆様へのお知らせが大変遅くなりました。

Iruka - Singer/Songwriter; JAPAN

 


Iruka is one of Japans most loved and famous female singer - songwriters. A multi talented woman, she participates in various charity activities and strongly believes in sustainability and conservation of nature for future generations.
She has published a children's picture book series entitled "Little Sky" on environmental issues. Her support extends to other activities such as support for children afflicted by earthquakes, the relief for the destitute in Africa and she has been a panellist on a seminar discussing environmental problems.
 This love of nature meant that Iruka was invited to be The Goodwill Ambassador for the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Japan since 2004. In this role, Iruka has hosted an annual concert for IUCN in Japan and has used her regular radio talk-shows to raise awareness about the work of the largest environmental network. She gave a concert during the 2008 IUCN World Conservation Congress in Barcelona, where she performed for the Union's members, partners and friends from all over the world.

私イルカは、IUCNからの推薦という事がとても嬉しいです。

ノミネートされただけで充分です。2004年親善大使に任命された頃は、IUCNの方々に「イルカ」を知っていただくだけでも大変な事でした。世界は広いですからね。しかし、毎年コツコツと積み重ねてきた活動の中で少しずつ仲間として認めてもらえるようになりました。

その活動を支えて一緒に歩いて来て下さったのは皆さんです。ですから、こうして世界の素晴らしいアーティストの中にノミネートしていただけた事は全て皆さんのおかげと心から感謝を込めて報告させていただきます。
この感謝の気持ちを沢山持ってイルカは9月からツアーそして10月からは東北の被災地の皆様に向けてのコンサートに出かけます！！
